*** TITLE: Modelling of Planetary Gear using EMR and Simdriveline for Hybrid Electric Vehicles

In this paper the Authors introduce the dynamic model of a planetary
gear using the EMR technique and the Matlab-SimDriveline simulation
tool. This problem is very important for the development of new
control strategy for Hybrid Electric Vehicles.

The paper is clearly written.

Suggestions for improving the paper:

- There is a sign error in Equation (2): "n"  -> "-n";

- The authors should explain in more details under which hypothesis
Equations (3) and (4) are deduced.

- It is not clear which are the relations between the total momentum
of inertia J_Tot given in (4) and the 2-dimensional dynamic element
present in the EMR scheme of Fig.3 ;

- Maybe a typing error is present in the EMR model of the system
given in Fig.3: the input torque TemA of the EMR mechanical coupling
element (the one connected with Machine A) should be different from
the output torques TemA_ICE and TemA_emB which are coupled with
velocities Omega_ICE and Omega_emB. In fact, from (2) we have that
(using Matlab notation):
       Omega_emA = [n+1,  -n]*[Omega_ICE; Omega_emB]
and therefore the input and output torques of the coupling element
should satisfy the following relations:
       [TemA_ICE; TemA_emB] = [n+1; -n]*TemA
